Editions Gravats / Les Disques De La Bretagne is starting 2019 with a limited 7" from Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement, Gravats's favorite of many Dominick Fernow's projects. Focusing on slow paced bass studies and and synthetic dub textures, surrounded by collaged and looped field recording environments, RSE shrouds sound over image to target the sector of brain where fear supersedes rationality - the imagination.
RSE has transformed into an entity with rotating contributors on stage and on recording. The project since 2017 is including Philippe Hallais aka Low Jack for live performances. Honduran - French Producer Hallais carrying the spirit of 'hosts' and collaborations that RSE has transformed into exploring bass studies and synthetic field recording environments.
From the close relationship between these two, Fernow has composed 2 exclusive new explorations of 'fear dub', especially made for the BZH series, bringing a more club ready atmosphere to what RSE usually is.
Notes from Dominick Fernow about 'Venus Flytrap Exotica':
"this is a turning point for RSE in that is starts to deal specifical with the consequences of the panama canal and the controversial battle with malaria."
